2016
Designing Twitter's largest-ever presence at the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
Ahead of the 2016 presidential election, Twitter set up #TwitterDistrict event spaces at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland and the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Reporters and other conference attendees were able to enjoy free food, drink, and wi-fi, get training on how to use Twitter products, and engage with several Twitter-hosted panel discussions.
I was tasked as the lead creative for both events. In a particularly divisive election atmosphere, the goal of the creative was to reinforce Twitter's position as the platform for news by the people — to show sides, not take take sides.
For these events, I developed the #TwitterDistrict brand identity, and led the production for all event assets, including: venue environmental design, illustration, wayfinding, promotional videos, display ads, social assets, infographic interfaces, and swag.
